The GLA Hearing to decide whether AELTC’s planning application should be accepted or refused will be held at City Hall on Friday 27th September. (10:00 start, doors open 8:30am. Please note there will be strict airport-style security, so arrive in plenty of time).
Representatives of Save Wimbledon Park met with Fleur AndersonMP and GLA representative Leonie Cooper. They were unanimous: we need a big show of public support at City Hall on Friday September 27th when the GLA considers AELTC's plans to turn Wimbledon Park into an industrial tennis complex.
So please join the demonstration for the GLA Hearing! Everyone is very welcome.
The address is City Hall, The Chamber, Kamal Chunchie Way, London E16 1ZE.
Here is how to get to City Hall.
The Hearing starts at 10.00, but doors open at 08.30 and there are only 140 seats (we are negotiating for additional space), so we recommend getting there as early as you can.
Wear your Save Wimbledon Park T-shirts and bring your banners, although they might have to be left outside, as security is strict. As always we are anticipating a good media turnout.
Tell your friends, bring your relatives, pass the word to your networks - we need to fill the public gallery and make a noise on the green outside.
